Ron Meyers, a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, transitioned from serving in the Air Force to becoming a successful event promoter. He established Ron Meyers Productions after completing his military service and has organized over 250 events in the Gulf South region. One of his notable achievements is the Christmas City Gift Show, which he has nurtured for 41 years and has grown into one of the largest gift shows in the South, attracting 15,000 attendees annually. Ron’s dedication and commitment are evident in the overwhelming demand for booth space at the show, showcasing his passion for creating memorable experiences for vendors and attendees.

Christmas City is a labor of love
At Ron Meyers Productions, Christmas City is a cherished project that takes eight months of preparation. Our dedicated office staff searches for and invites a diverse range of vendors who offer high-quality products and services. Meanwhile, our floor staff takes pride in supporting vendors and ensuring that all exhibit areas are clean and safe for shoppers. Due to COVID-19 regulations, we updated the layout of Christmas City in 2020 to include wider aisles. This change has since become a standard feature of our event, providing guests with a more comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience.
Creating memories
Christmas City has become a cherished family tradition for many of our guests. It’s heartwarming to see three generations, including moms, grandmas, and grandkids, coming together to enjoy our event. Our guests love the family atmosphere and hold dear the memories they make with their loved ones at Christmas City every year.
Shoppers Paradise
2016 Christmas City introduced a new event called Shoppers Paradise on Friday nights. This event is exclusively for adults and includes:
- Live music.
- A silent auction to support a local charity.
- The option to purchase wine and beer while shopping.
- Door Prizes every fifteen minutes
It has become a popular choice for guests who work during the day, with tickets limited to 2,500 and often selling out quickly.
Santa’s arrival on the Coast
Christmas City opens its doors each year with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Santa himself. Then, on Saturday mornings, kids can enjoy breakfast with Santa and his pals. There’s also a Santa Land section where children can snap a photo with Santa, compose a letter to him, and craft a Christmas ornament to keep as a memento of their visit to Christmas City.
The gift that keeps giving, Love!
Our non-profit division, Ron Meyers Ministries, is funded by Christmas City. Through the support of vendors and customers, we can make donations to various Christian rehab centers, organizations fighting against human trafficking, missions, podcasts, and public service announcements that promote the love of Christ. It also funds our radio show/podcast called “Get The Hell Out of Your Life,” where Ron interviews individuals that share their stories of God’s amazing grace.
